Dupont Delrin is the perfect plastic for turning on a CNC lathe lathe. It’s simple to turn, but it requires slower speeds. I have used this stuff to make Scottish small pipes chanters. Between the Delrin and POM-C rods, both materials are exceptionally durable and easily machinable, as they have comparable physical properties. They look the same, but for practical uses there are a few differences that may make one better than the other. It also depends heavily on your application.
